Jenni and Bob Krosnowski own the Twisted Loop Yarn Shop. This shop started as a dream in 2010. We were going to go the “big shop” route, we had a large location, lots of yarn on order and a kick-ass business plan that landed us the huge bank loan that would make it all possible. The Lord put upon our hearts that we should rethink our plan. With lots of prayer and advice from friends and family we decided to go at it slow and small.  That was 8 years ago.  Look where we are today!  With your support we are growing and creating a network of crafters all over world... yup we have international knitters stop by too (yay).  Thank you!

The Perfect Summer Tee - by Kym

Did you know that creating something from nothing is an incredible feeling? (Of course you already know and embrace that concept!)

But did you also know that creating something with linen might just become one of your favorite summertime accessories? Many of us know about the properties of wool and the long history of its use, but how many have taken the time to learn about the amazing flax plant and the fiber that results? It's easy to shy away from a skein that doesn't have that same smooth, soft feel - we get it. But once you learn a little bit more about this incredible fiber, you might just recognize its wonderful attributes

Any discussion regarding linen must include a nod to the flax plant which has been cultivated for at least five millennia. While easy to grow in the right conditions, retrieving the cellulose fibers from this remarkable plant proves to be quite a laborious procedure. While today, we have mechanized processes in place, it's incredible to think that as early as 3,000 B.C., linen fabric as fine as 540 threads/inch was being produced and wrapped around the mummies of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs.

Long known for its durability and natural lustre, it's important to remember that linen becomes softer and more lustrous with use and laundering. The ability of it to retain its shape and the fact that it is one of our most absorbent fibers with great "wicking" ability, makes it a wonderful choice for a lasting warm weather accessory.

Freshen up your summer wardrobe with a feminine top designed by Svetlana Volkova. Arisu is a cropped boxy tee featuring a V-neck and gorgeous lace hem. It is worked seamlessly from the bottom up, with short row shaping in the shoulders. Be sure to watch for Kym's progress as she knits this fun and easy garment!

Happy Knitting,
