Laurel Mists MKAL with Sweet Georgia (MKAL = Mystery Knit Along)
ABOUT THE MYSTERY KNIT-ALONG (directly from the Sweet Georgia Website)
Over in the great Smoky Mountains, where the mist stretches from sky to tree, it is easy to lose oneself in the wonder of laurel bushes, mountain tops, and cool, wild woods. It is like stepping into a different world. Guided by the ancient wisdom that seems to exude from the ground, we have nothing to do but discover … new directions, new scents, a new sense of self. The excitement of discovering what lays behind the misty, laurel-coated hills is the inspiration for the next SweetGeorgia Mystery Knit-Along (MKAL)!
Laurel Mists is worked with three colors: two skeins of CashLuxe Spark and one Sock Blank.
The total yardage used is 1264 yds of fingering-weight yarn.
The original sample uses colors that softly contrast each other, while emphasizing the changing-colors of the sock blank itself. In fact, it makes it look like you’ve used a lot of colors without actually using a lot of colors! So, aim for fun contrast in your yarn selections, with one being a multi-color yarn, so that the individual stitch patterns are highlighted to their full potential.
